peace is just illusion
Peace is nothing more than a hollow form, a mask worn by societies to hide the chaos that simmers beneath. It is a word spoken in speeches, written in treaties, and carved into monuments — yet it holds no real substance. We speak of peace as if it were a friend, but it is a distant shadow, never truly present. In reality, peace is a lie we tell ourselves to avoid confronting the violence in our hearts and the divisions in our world. It gives us comfort without asking for commitment. It is a show, a performance, not a lived experience. The world does not move toward peace; it only shapes its image to appear less broken. Peace, then, is not a destination — it is a disguise.
