"The Value of Availability"
If you are always the one who calls or reaches out first, the other person will start thinking they don't need to make any effort — that you're always there, always available, like an option, not a necessity.
If you keep calling all the time, one day your number might end up on their ignore list.
If you're always the one taking the first step, people will assume you have nothing better to do — that you're idle, always free, too easily available.
Sometimes it is important to create distance, to let the other person realize your worth — that you are a priority, not a backup plan.
Remember this: What is always available is rarely valued.
Those who make themselves too accessible are often taken for granted.
